It's always tricky to write a review of a restaurant based on one single visit.

Perhaps it was especially quiet when you went so the staff had it easy or maybe the exact opposite happened, were the restaurant having a particularly bad day or a particularly good one?

You just don't know but regardless I am going to write this review based one my single visit and the fact my mum and dad raved about this place!

My boyfriend and I decided to go for lunch here after my parents told us how great the food was and that it was amazing value for money.

Being a student and an apprentice we couldn't say no to amazing value for money.

The staff were friendly and attentive, they made sure we were enjoying our food and we had everything we needed, but not in that annoying way where your mouth is full of food and that's when they decide to ask.

I've been to restaurants where we've ordered drinks and it's as if the staff have forgotten all about us but here our drinks arrived within a few minutes. The starters took 10 minutes to arrive and the main course arrived 10 minutes after the starter, so al in all the timing of the food and drinks was brilliant.

I had the deep fried squid which could have done with a little longer in the deep fryer but that is honestly the only bad thing I have to say about this place.

The rest of our food was delicious which brings me to the next reason I loved my visit to this place.

It was fantastic value for money. Our 2 drinks, 2 starters and 2 mains came to a tiny £14.30. We checked it three of four times and asked if it was correct and then left them with a £5 tip because of how happy we were with the service, food and price!

I've read a few reviews on trip advisor and several of them say similar praises to this one however there are also a few, as with every restaurant, where people were less than happy with their trips.

Like I said in the beginning, everyone's experience is going to be different, but from my experience, anyone who lives near the area should definitely check it out!

A day in the life of a lighter shade of pale!

So the other day we decided to take a trip to Manchester to see our uni flatmate, Conor (it was also an excuse to go out around town). We got the coach up early in the morning and made our way to Leeds, we had 30 minutes to kill so we decided to look around Leeds market. I have never been to Leeds market and Amy has never been to Leeds so it was perfect! So many people around doing there own thing, us small towners are obviously not used to that amount of humans being in one place.

Amy insisted on buying Conor a small gift, an interesting gift at that, a lighter with a butt on, thats as much detail as you need, although it did get lost during the night only to find it 2 days later in Amy's bag! Typical. We had arrived in Manchester after a 4 hour journey - a hot one I might add, we went and got a pre drink then danced around Conor's kitchen to his ipod whilst he was at work. Then the night began, we went to a place called Factory with Conor and his friends. It was the sweatiest, most claustrophobic club we had ever been in. They had every type of music genre a youth could need and on different floors too! (plus the drinks were cheap so I'm not complaining). Granted we were hungover on the morning after I had 2 hours sleep and Amy functioning on none! The journey back was a nightmare, missing our coach because we read the times wrong was hard to accept after we had travelled 30 minutes to get to Piccadilly and ventured 15 seconds in a taxi to get to the coach station because we thought it was miles away! However, our luck changed when we heard a woman over the speaker asking people who were on the bus to Newcastle to board, Amy had asked if we could get on it and we did. Getting off at Middlesbrough and then trying to find the train station to take us back to Aycliffe was a very slow and tiring walk.

Apart from the travelling part the trip was great and since our schedules have been nothing but days of going to the gym, writing blog posts and filming Youtube videos, it was good to get out of Aycliffe. Although our bodies didn't agree! Next year we plan to go inter-railing, lets hope we've been on a few more trips before then to understand that travelling long hours and sitting in the same place is no treat but we know it'll be worth it! 

Fake tan in 7 steps.

Step 1: Have a hot bath to open up and cleanse your pores. 

Step 2: Shave your legs, underarms & bikini line, so all areas are smooth.

Step 3: Exfoliating. Apply some exfoliating cleanser to a loofah and begin to gently scrub away any dead skin cells. 

4: Moisturise. From head to toe apply a body and face moisturiser to further soften your skin.

5. Always use a fake tanning glove, this will protect your hands from over tan. 

6. Find a fake tan which is best for you, all skin types are different so different fake tans work best for different people. 

7. Lastly, apply a thin layer of your chosen fake tan all over your body (or just where you want it). 

Once finished wait 10-20 minutes for the tan to develop, unless the bottle specifies otherwise, if you are at this stage happy with the result your finished. If not, apply a second layer over your skin to get a darker result. 

Obviously, I am no professional fake tan lady but this routine works really well for me, thank you for reading and I hope your tan looks beautiful and natural!

L'oreal Paris, Sublime Bronze Self - Tanning Elixir review. - BEST FAKE TAN EVER.

L´Oréal Paris Sublime Bronze is the perfect accessory for every outfit! It's summer girls and the best way to make yourself feel and look great during these months is to get yourself bronzed! 

Obviously a preferable way to do this would be to naturally soak up the rays but not everyone is lucky enough to get a tan, I myself just burn and then go straight back to the land of the ghosts. 

I would 100% recommend this product to any contemplating to use fake tan. The ingredients with in the product mean that the tan develops over time and lasts 2 weeks! It also fades evenly unlike a lot of products ou there where the tan becomes blotchy and unattractive. 

Another huge benefit of the L'oreal Elixir is that it doesn't smell, it doesn't have that tell tale self-tanning stink that others do, beef. In addition this Elixir works on the face and the body, so you don't have to use two different products. 

Below are my before and after pictures. 

I know they are pretty extreme, I am a pretty extremely pale person so it was no surprise that the result would be a major change! I am really happy with the results but when this tan fades and I have to do it again I will do a few things differently. 

1. Wear gloves! I know this is a given with fake tan usually but this stuff is like a transparent gel and to be honest I just did not think at all. So yeah, my hands were a lot darker than the rest of my skin. 

2. Only apply a thin layer at first. You're supposed to apply this stuff once a day for three days but above is the result of only one application for me and I think that's because I went slightly over board with the application mostly because I couldn't see where I'd applied. 

3. Get someone else to do it, I couldn't reach the middle of my back and my arms went all blotchy because I was unevenly applying the stuff. Dumb. 

4. Apply in a naturally lit room so you can see the oily parts of your skin which have already been covered. 

This stuff is middle market in terms of price, St. Tropez is around £20 in Tesco making it the most expensive there, St. Moriz is £4 making it the cheapest and Loreal Sublime Bronze Elixir is £16 making it middle ground. It's great value for money and works amazingly well!! 

Definite must have this summer!
